I am a 65 year old retired registered nurse. Yesterday on February 28, 2012 I was playing with two other ladies and I experienced my first ever hole in one. I was using the Top Flite Diva D2+, which my husband had purchased for me on our arrival in Florida for the winter. I have really been enjoying this ball. I was on the 17th hole Par 3 at Spruce Creek Preserve in Dunnellon, Florida. It is about 86 yards for women with a sand trap on the left side and a narrow green. I traditionally use my 8 Iron, but the time was late in the day and there was a slight wind, so I utilized by 7 Iron. It bounced onto the green and headed to the cup, but I thought it had gone off the back side, imagine my surprise when approaching the green and there was no ball on the back of the green. One of the ladies I was playing with said, I know it when in the cup. Boy was I excited. I could not imagine being so very excited. I had to quite golfing many years ago due to a back problem and just in the last 4 years have started playing again. I am from Pennsylvania but enjoy spending my winters in Florida and golfing 2-3 times per week.
I have been playing golf for fifty years and had my first hole in one a couple of days ago. Before coming to Jekyll Island GA I purchased a box of Gamer V2 balls after reading about them in "GolfDigest". I was down to just 2 of the Gamers left. I had put them aside but got them out for a tournment I was in. On the sixth hole a par three I hit it and saw it land on the green I asked the guys with me if they saw where it went. Two of them said they did not see it but the third guy said he thought it went in . As I walked up to the green I did not see my ball and I started to get really excited as I walk over to the cup. There it was in the hole. The ball had landed about 3 feet from the cup and rolled in. After the first round my partner and I are in first place. The second round is in a couple of days. I am going to town today and get me another box of Gamers.
On March 2, 2012 at Legends Golf and Country Club in Ft. Myers, FL I got my first hole-in-one on the 15th hole with a six iron at a distance of 146 yards. As the ball approached the green iy looked like a good shot. It landed on the green and curved toward the hole. It hit the pin and settled in the hole. I was so excited. I drove the golf cart up to the green and confirmed it. I took the ball out of the hole and raised my arms up in celebration. The other members of the foursome and a group of people on the lanai of a near condo started cheering loudly. It felt SO good. I used a yellow Top Flite XL Distance ball.
I only play a few times a year, mainly for business. I tried your Top Flite #1 golf ball today for the first time. I played the best I ever have and scored my first EAGLE on the par four 15th at the Hedingham Golf Club in Raleigh, NC. Needless to say, it was an exciting moment. My boss will never forget it.
