On Father's Day this year of 2010, I was lucky enough to experience a hole in one with a brand new Top Flite D2 FEEL ball. It was the first time that I hit this brand new ball. I was at Santa Clara Golf Course in Santa Clara, CA. It was the 8th hole. I was with my Father and Brother. I think my brother was more excited than I was. He called it in the air, "it's going in." The pin was 120 yards away. I hit an approach wedge. The ball bounced twice, rolled 2 feet and it disappeared! It was a perfect shot, but I don't think I could have done it with just any ball...Needless to say, I will continue supporting these balls. I hear great things about the Gamer balls. My friend uses them religiously. Thank you Top Flite for being there for the first hole in one of my life.
A few weeks ago I got a hole in 1 with a Top Flite D2 (blue). Now I'm a pretty new golfer, only been play since May 2010, but I must say it was a great feeling. It was a 120 yard par 3 with water running down the entire right side of the hole and a large bunker stretching around the front of the green. Now the bunkers lip is so high that you can't see the hole. Now being a new golfer i'm use to going in the water and or the bunker, but on this day when I hit that ball I could feel it. My shot was so very straight right at the hole and the hight was unbelievable. I could my ball hit just past the lip of the bunker and disapear, now that shot felt so good I turned to the other two golfers I was with and "thats a hole in one", of couse they said "yea sure, you wish". Now the funny part was that we knew neither of there balls were on the green, so when we approached the the green they were like "hey where's your ball" I replied " I said, in the hole". When I looked in the cup and saw my Top-Flite smilling up at me I got such a rush. Now I've been using a Top-Flite D2 (Green) for a couple reasons, I really feel I get longer drives with it and I think it will look great next to my blue one when I get my next hole one. My wife and I accomplished what we believe is a pretty rare feat. We are both 62 years of age and have been golfing for over four decades, each one without the ultimate golf thrill, a hole-in-one. Until this month! Three weeks ago I got my first ace at the Contraband Bayou Golf Club in Lake Charles, LA. Yesterday my wife got her first ace at the Gray Plantation course in Lake Charles. We both play Top Flites. I play the Gamer and she the D2 Diva. Both were drawn to the cup like magnets! Thanks for making great golf balls for the "rest of us".
I just wanted to thank you for making such a great golf ball. On August 15, 2010 I recorded my first hole in one after switching to your new Gamer V2 golf ball. It was on only the third round that I had used the balls. It was at The University Club Of Connecticut were I have been a member for approximately four years. It was on the 154 yard Par 3 16th hole. The hole is down hill and most of the time I use my...6 or 7 iron, but the Gamer V2 balls are so long I took out my 8 iron. The ball landed about 4 ft. from the pin and my partners and I watched as it disappeared in to hole. Last year I was using your D2 Feel balls which feel just like...but I was looking for more distance. So this year I went to the D2 Distance balls and recorded my first round ever in the 70’s and my handicap has been going down all year. Still looking for more distance a friend told me about the Gamer V2 ball just last week so I thought I would give it a try. I am hitting the ball at least 5 to 10 yards further now and my game is still improving. Thanks again.
After golfing for a few months I decided to join my school's team in the season. I was very pleased to realize I would be starting varsity with my natural talent, now don't get me wrong I'm not an amazing golfer, but I'm fairly good for starting out. One day at a quad-match we stepped up to a par 4, 330 yards and I pulled out my driver and my ball of choice, The Gamer. I teed up as usual and gave it a beautiful swing. I smashed the ball 320 yards into the bunker in the front right corner of the green. To me I thought it was impossible, but it couldn't have been more untrue. The GAMER V2 golf ball is just as advertised, but it is so much more! I have been playing with my new irons for two years now and I have always felt like I just wasn't getting the maximum distance and feel out of these highly recommended clubs. And then, just recently I made an appointment to be custom fitted for a new driver with the Maltby System. I figured that if I wasn't getting the confidence I needed from my iron play, at least I could upgrade my driver and feel better about my game. As I was swinging different clubs and we were discussing what package fitting price plan to choose, the instructor told me that for a few dollars more he could recommend what ball I should be using to fit my swing. I said, "Sure, why not?!" And man, am I glad I did ! To make this long and wonderful story short, the instructor gave me a list of ten ball brands that would be best for performance and distance to fit my swing. The Top Flite GAMER V2 was number one on the performance list and number two on the distance list. I was a little hesitant at first, seeing how inexpensive they were, and that I had never hit Top Flite balls before. But I assumed that the fitting system knew more than I did, and so I purchased a dozen of the GAMER V2 balls at half the price of the leading premium balls. And the rest is indescribable, and completely overwhelming. Now I am hitting these irons with pin-point accuracy and total maximum distance off the tee, like never before! My playing partners are looking to see if these balls are legal! I love it! Not only have the GAMER V2 balls have made my golf buddies jealous, but they have given my golf game the confidence that was missing... And I think any golfer will tell you how important confidence is to a player that feels like something is missing! The ball does matter, and this is mine! THANKS TOP-FLITE!
I love the game and being a high handicap golfer, I seek the spirit to improve. I began this change with the Gamer V2 and a change for the better is beginning to appear. I have shaved off 5 strokes in my game, by hitting the ball straight and farther. What a pleasant surprise.
I have been playing at my home course for about the past 25 years. In that time I have managed to eagle 3 of the 4 par 5's on our course, but #17 has still eluded me. It plays about 550-560 depending on the tee placement. Now that I'm 62 and not hitting it quite as far as I used to, I figured #17 had beat me. A friend had given me a Gamer on 16. I had hit my first ball in the water and didn't have an extra 1 in my pocket so he threw me 1. I finished 16 and went to 17 really not thinking about the ball he gave me because I was a little upset over the double I just took on 16. Needless to say, I striped my drive and had about 245 to get home. The round was shot , so why not Tin-cup this one. Hit a great 5 wood ( don't carry a 3) that stopped about 12 feet from the flag. Drained the putt and my history was made. Thanks for the help.
